Magnetic properties of anisotropic superconductors of the second type
Abstract
Expressions for the anisotropy of the penetration depth, surface impedance, vortex energy, lower critical field Hc1, and magnetization curve are obtained for superconductors having large Ginzburg-Landau parameter values and a superconducting phase characterized by uniaxial or biaxial anisotropy. The properties of vortex lattices near Hc1 and in the case where H is much greater than Hc1 and much less than Hc2 are discussed. It is concluded that the derived expressions can be used to decribe the anisotropy of UPt3, CeCu2Si2, and UBe13.
