Investigation of kinetic processes in molecular nitrogen by the CARS technique
Abstract
The wide-band variant of the CARS spectroscopy technique is applied to study the dynamics of the nitrogen-molecule population distribution with respect to nonequilibrium excited vibrational states. This experiment differs from past studies in that the increased excitation level of vibrational and electronic degrees of molecule freedom is guaranteed with conservation of the spatial homogeneity of the medium. Rate-constant values for energy exchange between electrons and vibrational levels are found, together with V-V exchange parameters.
