Plasmariton dispersion in alloyed silicon carbide crystals
Abstract
The dispersion of plasmaritons in SiC:N crystals is determined experimentally by Raman spectroscopy of the plasmariton states. The effect of phonon attenuation, plasma oscillation frequency and attenuation, and polariton Fermi resonance on the nature of the dispersion relation is discussed. Calculated results are found to be in good agreement with experimental data.
