Reflection spectra of Zn(1-x-y)Cd(x)Hg(y)Te epitaxial layers
Abstract
A study is made of the reflection spectra of the quaternary solid solutions Zn(1-x-y)Cd(x)Hg(y)Te deposited by liquid-phase epitaxy on oriented CdTe substrates. Expressions are obtained which relate the interband energy gaps to the composition. The results indicate that the energy band structure of the spectra is similar to that of an II-VI compound with the lattice of sphalerite.
