A harmonic SAW filter design is described which is free of such drawbacks as low SAW excitation efficiency and a high level of parasitic bulk waves. The experimental amplitude-frequency response is examined for two filters: one with an aluminum film, the other using nickel with a vanadium sublayer in order to increase the stability of the filter parameters.
