Method of equivalent substitution in the calculation and compensation of diffraction distortions in SAW filters
Abstract
An equivalent substitution method for the calculation and compensation of diffraction distortions in SAW filters is developed on the basis of the methods of Mader and Stocker (1982), and Kodama (1980). In the proposed method, calculations are carried out for a certain equivalent transducer which has a smaller number of sources than the original transducer. As an example, results are presented for an ST-cut quartz bandpass filter with apodized and nonapodized transducers with 205 and 33 sources, respectively.
