Characteristics of infinite and finite printed dipole antenna arrays
Abstract
Experimental results are presented concerning the characteristics of printed dipoles in plane infinite and finite phased arrays. The charge method is used to study the electrodynamic characteristics of dipole radiation. The element radiation pattern in a finite array is determined on the basis of the method of edge waves. It is concluded that the pattern of an angular radiator coincides in form with the pattern of an edge radiator only in the main planes.
