Detection of a determinate signal on a noise background
Abstract
The paper examines the possibility of improving the detection reliability of a determinate signal on a noise background. Two techniques of determinate-signal detection are compared: correlation detection and filter autocorrelation-correlation processing (FACCP). It is shown that FACCP permits a fuller compensation of the noise component, making it possible to significantly extend the lower limit of the detection range in the case of low SNRs.
