Frequency properties of antennas whose surface shapes are defined according to a given radiation pattern
Abstract
Theoretical calculations show that the use of contours matched with a given radiation pattern makes it possible to synthesize wideband (in the sense of stability) forms of the antenna radiation pattern. Such antennas can be used in a wider frequency band than antennas with an arbitrary surface shape (e.g., circular antennas). Antennas of this sort can be realized in phased-array form.
