Spectrum of surface magnetostatic waves in a planar structure with three ferromagnetic components separated by dielectric layers
Abstract
The MSW spectrum in an FM-D-FM-D-FM structure is calculated for various distributions of saturation magnetization in the thickness direction and various thicknesses of the dielectric components. The domains of existence of forward and backward internal land external wave are determined along with slot domains. It is shown that, as the thickness of the dielectric components increases, the backward waves are transformed into forward ones, the internal waves are transformed into external ones, and resonance between the internal and external waves becomes impossible. It is shown that arbitrary prespecified MSW dispersion can be obtained for the structure considered. The results can be used in the design of certain types of microwave devices.
