Behavior of the power flux of surface magnetostatic waves in coupled ferrite structures
Abstract
The power-flux behavior of surface magnetostatic waves (SMW) propagating in a tangentially magnetized structure consisting of two coupled ferrite films with different magnetizations is analyzed for different directions of the wave vector with respect to the magnetic field. The analysis makes it possible to calculate the electron transport velocity when two normal waves are excited in the coupled structure. It is shown that the direction and velocity of the flux can be controlled by changing SMW excitation conditions in the coupled ferrite structure; this effect can be used in certain types of microwave devices.
