Calculation of a field excited by a radiating aperture in the presence of an arbitrary system of scatterers
Abstract
Consideration is given to radiation from an aperture antenna (inside a radome) into a half-space containing dielectric, conducting, and magnetic scattering objects. A rigorous mathematical model is developed in the form of an integral (aperture) representation of the field excited by the antenna. This representation is correlated with the representation for an aperture supplemented with an ideally black screen. The principle of mirror images is generalized in connection with the derivation of the basic integral formula using the method of equivalent currents.
