Laboratory approaches of nuclear reactions involved in primordial andstellar nucleosynthesis.
Abstract
The grand concept of elemental nucleosynthesis will not be truly established until we attain a deeper and more precise understanding of the many nuclear processes operating in various astrophysical environments. The desired cross sections of the nuclear processes are among the smallest measured in the nuclear laboratory, often requiring new technologies and long data collection times with painstaking attention to background. The laboratory approaches in studying charged-particle-induced nuclear reactions are the subject of this paper.
