On the helium and heavy-element enrichment of the interstellar medium.
Abstract
A short review is given of ΔY/ΔZ determinations. The most accurate results based on galactic and extragalactic H II regions correspond to ΔY/ΔZ ∼ 3.5 ± 0.7. Some of the implications of this result are briefly discussed.
