New considerations on mass records in space
Abstract
Calculation of the compensated mass as a function of the latitude of departure, phi, and the orbital azimuth (the angle between the trajectory and the meridian of the launching base), Z prime, of a mass put into orbit with a given quantity of energy, W, is considered. In the present method, W values for a mass, m (put in orbit with given orbital characteristics and values of phi and Z prime), and a mass M (on the same orbit with phi = 0 and Z prime = 90 deg) are compared. The fraction (M  m)/m then gives in percentage the waste mass corresponding to phi and Z prime. The present method has application to the calculation of files of mass records in space.
