Inorganic liquid lasers
Abstract
The theory and applications of inorganic liquid lasers, which make it possible to develop continuous-wave or pulsed systems with a high lasing power density, are presented in a systematic manner. Consideration is given to luminescence and lasing effects, the production and properties of laser liquids, spectral luminescence properties of inorganic laser liquids activated by rare-earth ions, and pumping systems. The discussion also covers cavities and the divergence of laser emission, laser operating modes, and the emission characteristics of inorganic liquid lasers.
