The flicker spectrum of YZ Cancri.
Abstract
High-speed Fourier Transform photometry has been used to observe the light curve of YZ Cancri. The flicker spectrum exhibits an inverse relation between amplitude and frequency with a variable power law, with evidence for a high-frequency cut-off point which is also variable. The authors regard this as evidence that the source of the flickering lies within an optically dense region of variable size, and that the size changes when the star is in outburst.
