Synchrotron radiation: Theory and experiment
Abstract
The classical and quantum theories of synchrotron radiation (SR) from ultrarelatrivistic electrons moving in a magnetic field are developed along with the theory of the radiation polarization of electrons and positrons. Consideration is also given to quantum effects connected with the nonequidistant character of the electron energy spectrum, the practical application of SR in experiments, and the SR spectroscopy of solid-state materials.
