Microwave spectrum, electric dipole moment, internal rotation barrier, and molecular structure of methyl hydrodisulfide
The rotational spectra of CH 3SSH and CH 3SSD have been investigated between 18 and 40 GHz. Rotational constants for both isotopic species and centrifugal distortion constants for the parent species have been fitted to the measured transition frequencies. The permanent electric dipole moment has been obtained from quantitative Stark effect measurements. Internal rotation splittings due to the methyl group have been evaluated and the barrier determined. The equilibrium molecular structure and internal rotation barriers of the SH group have been calculated with the ab initio method.
