Computer-aided engineering for structural analysis
Abstract
Computer-aided engineering is the application of computers to the solution of engineering problems. Personal computers and engineering workstations are bringing computer-based tools to the engineer's desk. This article describes the use of computers for mechanical analysis by means of the finite-element method. Graphical preprocessing and postprocessing are discussed.
