The power spectrum of radio emission variations and solar active latitudinal zones.
Abstract
Power spectra of the solar emission variations observed in the range from 5 to 5000 days at 3.1 GHz and at 3.75 GHz are discussed. Time intervals for which power spectra were calculated range from 6 to 26 years. Obvious variations with the 11.2 y activity cycle and with typical life times of the activity centre (70 - 100 d) are revealed in the long-term part of the power spectrum. Several main periods of variations are distinguished for 25 - 40 d interval, that might be identified with the rotation periods of known latitudional zones of solar activity. The analysis discussed here does not reveal any significant periodic components at periods lower than 20 d.
