An improved step-track algorithm for tracking geosynchronous satellites
Abstract
A computer simulation of three maximum-seeking algorithms has been performed to select the most accurate for tracking geosynchronous satellites. It is concluded that a gradient algorithm provides the highest accuracy and is well suited for practical implementation. An experiment performed by tracking the OTS satellite confirmed the validity of the simulation.
