Intelnet services - A global data distribution and collection scheme
Abstract
The system design and network architecture for Intelnet I and II services are described. This system of small earth stations operating in C and Ku bands provide data distribution and collection services; various applications for the data are discussed. The use of the spread spectrum modulation technique and binary phase-shift keying with rate 1/2 forwrad error correction is examined. System costs that result from the use of microterminals for the collection/distribution of data are evaluated.
