Quantum well lasers - Gain, spectra, dynamics
Abstract
The present consideration of theoretical and experimental issues in the field of quantum well laser development emphasizes the basic behavior of such aspects of laser operation as the gain, the field spectrum, and the modulation dynamics. The use of quantum well structures is noted to yield improvements in these properties, and brings several novel concepts to bear on the field of optical semicondcutor devices; these concepts encompass quantum wire and quantum box lasers.
