HgTe-CdTe superlattices - Magnetooptics and band structure
Abstract
The magnetooptical investigation results presented for HgTe-CdTe superlattices are interpreted on the basis of band structure calculations that were conducted within the envelope function formalism. Attention is given to the information thus obtained on the interface valence band offset, which is an important parameter in any semiconductor heterostructure, and on the band structure of these superlattices, which exhibit subtle features not encountered in conventional III-V compound superlattices.
