Exact non-similarity solutions for laminar jet flows
Abstract
Exact analytical solutions are obtained for the problems concerning the propagation of submerged free (plane and fan) jets with 'symmetric' and 'asymmetric', relative to the jet axis, temperature distribution in the surrounding space and of semi-bounded (plane and fan) jets for four types of surface temperature boundary conditions (the wall temperature and that of the quiescent medium are the same, the wall temperature is fixed and different from the ambient temperature, the heat flux at the surface is prescribed) for different values of Prandtl number.
