Probability of the occurrence of the sporadic E layer in the case of oblique sounding
Abstract
Oblique sounding of the ionosphere was used to investigate diurnal and seasonal variations of the probability of the occurrence of the sporadic E layer on 14 midlatitude paths in the 9-49 MHz range. The frequency and energy dependences of this probability are described analytically, and compared with data of other studies.
