Some results of the numerical modeling of short-wave breakdown in the lower ionosphere
Abstract
The electron-density in a short-wave breakdown region in the lower ionosphere is calculated numerically. Calculations are made for the instrumentation parameters used by Arykov and Roizen (1984); the breakdown is produced by a high-power radio pulse with a frequency of 15 MHz transmitted from the earth surface.
