Stability of a continuous optical discharge in atmospheric air flow
Abstract
Results of an experimental study of the effect of gasdynamic flow on an optical discharge plasma in atmospheric air are reported. In particular, the laser power required for maintaining a continuous optical discharge is determined as a function of air flow rate. Oscillations of the optical discharge plasma are detected in the presence of gas flow.
