Synthetic conductors between pressure measurements points and pressure receptors as error sources in the measurement of unsteady pressure signals
Abstract
The transmission characteristics of electromechanical pressure receptors with synthetic links for use in water and air are theoretically and experimentally investigated, and the limitations on their use are established. The parameters of the links and flow medium are considered. Sample results are given in the shape of frequency-dependent amplitude behaviors. Measurement results are presented which show that neither the steady component of the pressure signal nor the size of the pressure signal has an effect on the amplitude behavior. The dependence of the calculative results on the choice of weighting function is presented.
