Analysis and design of variable waveguide filters for radar diplexers
Abstract
The analysis and design of a variable cutoff frequency waveguide filter are presented. The filter, consisting of a low-permittivity dielectric slab placed in a waveguide below cutoff, is designed to enable variation of the cutoff frequency up to 5 percent bandwidth. Measurements performed in the X-band and S-band agree with the theory.
