New gradient decision feedback equaliser algorithm
Abstract
An efficient algorithm for a least-squares gradient lattice decision feedback equalizer is described. This algorithm requires approximately five times fewer multiplications and divisions than the exact LS algorithm and four times fewer than the suboptimal gradient algorithm of Proakis and Ling (1983). Simulation results for telephone channel and HF radio channel models are presented, and performance is compared with other decision-feedback algorithms.
