Magnetic reconnection, generation of plasma fluxes and accelerated particles in laboratory experiments and space plasma
Abstract
The results of special laboratory experiments are discussed, in which the phenomena of solar flare type were investigated. The physical conditions are compared on the basis of typical dimensionless parameters. The effective transformation of magnetic energy into accelerated particles and intensive superthermal plasma fluxes was observed in laboratory devices in the course of explosive disruption of the current sheet. The process is similar to that observed during the solar flare.
