Thermal regime and surface structure of periodic comet nuclei
Abstract
On the basis of laboratory experiments with different cometary nuclei models and secular brightness decrease of natural comets the thermal regime and the surface structure of periodic comets was studied. The gradual formation of mineral crusts on nuclear surfaces of real comets was definitely shown.
