Adaptive equalization of digital transmission channels by determining the pulse form
Abstract
An adaptive equalizer for high-rate digital transmission systems is described which is especially suited for receivers with quantized feedback. The adaptation occurs during on-line transmission without special training signals and is controlled by a computer. The determination of equalization parameters is based on determining the analog pulse sampling values and the bit pattern detection. A simulation example is used to show that, under certain conditions, an adaptation is possible with closed eyes.
