Compact linear array external cavity laser
Abstract
The successful operation of a compact linear array external cavity laser is demonstrated. This laser is characterized by wavelength control of individual diode elements and wavelength/phase-locked operation. It is noted that with large-element separation (244 microns), the output from the array produces five distinct separated spots. The locked array output is tunable over a 15-nm range.
