Comparison of the NBS SURF and tungsten ultraviolet irradiance standards
Abstract
A definitive comparison of the irradiance standards NBS Synchrotron Ultraviolet Radiation Facility II (SURF II) and the tungsten FEL Scale of Spectral Irradiance is made using newly developed spectroradiometers. The measurements are made primarily at 297 nm, but with some measurements also at 254 nm. The results show that the spectral irradiances assigned to these standards are consistent to within one percent, about the same as the estimated uncertainty of this comparison.
