Lidar signal fluctuations caused by beam translation and scan
Abstract
Lidar signal fluctuations induced by beam translation and scan cause degradation in range performance. This effect may be characterized by the correlation scale and frequency spectrum. Correlation analysis, numerical simulations, and laboratory measurements are used to derive and verify these quantities, and the results from all three approaches are in very good agreement.
