Prospects of a visible (green) chemical laser
Abstract
The experimental conditions for a 1.25-kW visible (green) chemical laser are detailed. In this system, a supersonic oxygen-iodine laser is optically coupled straightforwardly to a nitrogen fluoride DFlike supersonic flow. The design conditions presented here are based on previously unpublished experimental and theoretical results that are shown to be in good agreement.
