Frequency doubling of a Nd:YAG laser by a MNA single crystal thin film on a slab-type optical glass waveguide
Abstract
A single crystal thin film of 2-methyl-4-nitroaniline (MNA) for high efficiency phase-matched frequency doubling of a Nd:YAG laser (1.064 micron) was prepared. Experimental conversion efficiency for the phase-matched frequency doubling in a thin film waveguide structure was estimated at about 0.03 percent at 0.6-kW input.
