Application of the boundary element method in free jet impingement problems
Abstract
This paper deals with that region of the flow of an impinging jet which can be considered to be external to viscous boundary layers. The boundary element method has proved ideal for this type of problem, where the free surface is unknown but is the most important parameter for the correct evaluation of the velocity at the outer edge of the viscous region.
