The numerical simulation of nonequilibrium two-phase wet steam transonic flow
Abstract
By using the nucleation theory and the droplet growth theory with the Euler equations, governing equations are derived for the nonequilibrium two-phase wet steam flow. These equations are solved numerically by the time-marching method. In the computation of wet steam flow in a cascade, a wake model is employed to replace the periodic conditions commonly used for perfect gas flow. Several flow fields of wet steam flows in Laval nozzles and in turbine cascades have been computed, and the numerical result and experimental results are in reasonable agreement.
