The evolution of asteroid orbits in the case of second and thirdorder commensurabilities
Abstract
Consideration is given to the orbits of asteroids for which the ratio of their mean motions to that of a perturbing body is approximately equal to (k + l)/k, where l equals 2 or 3 and k is an integer. A classification of trajectories is carried out. Expressions for the orbital elements are obtained in Weierstrass functions.
