Surveys of local AGN's.
Abstract
The author reviews the optical, X-ray and infrared surveys of local AGN's, discussing the limitations and biases of each of them. He concludes that no single survey may lead to a complete sample but that all of them must be used simultaneously to build a meaningful luminosity function.
