Particle spin tune in a partially excited snake
Abstract
The special method of Siberian Snakes which correct for the depolarization effects of cyclotron resonances at high energies need not be used during beam production at low energies when low energy conventional methods apply. An adiabatic method (dependent upon particle spin precession frequency) of switching the snakes off or on during beam production is discussed.
