Evaluation of emission integrals for the radiative transport equation
Abstract
Two efficient techniques for the evaluation of emission integrals in situations involving arbitrary temperature profiles are presented and compared. The use of either of the two methods leads to significant savings in computation time requirements for the evaluation of emission integrals, by comparison to such standard numerical integration techniques as Simpson's rule or the trapezoidal rule.
