Experimental study of surface pressure in three-dimensional turbulent jet/boundary interaction
Abstract
Experimental results are presented from surface pressure measurements conducted in the vicinity of an offset turbulent jet that was discharged from a rectangular outlet. An examination is made of the effects of discharge Reynolds number, aspect ratio, and offset distance. The details of the two-dimensional nature of surface pressures are noted, and a typical pressure contour map is presented which reveals a complex and previously unknown pattern.
