Signal transmission using light guide filters
Abstract
Glass fiber data transmission techniques are discussed. Components such as plastic and glass fibers, emitter elements, detectors, and plugs are described. The techniques are required to transmit data whose transmission rates are determined by analog to digital converters. The data rates are seldom higher than 10 Mbit/sec, even in cases of serial transmission. Transmission distances up to 2000 m can be realized with relatively simple means.
