Effect of rotation on a turbulent wake
Abstract
A circular cylinder has been placed in the working section of the University of Melbourne Rotating Wind-tunnel, with the cylinder axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the tunnel. Some initial measurements of mean flow and turbulent quantities in the wake are presented, for the tunnel rotating as well as stationary.
