The Liquid Propulsion Module (LPM) - Low cost access to space
Abstract
The Liquid Propulsion Module (LPM) currently under development may either be used as a subsystem in an integrated propulsion system/satellite design, or combined with avionics, reaction control systems, etc., to become an autonomous stage. The LPM's liquid propellant engine can be used in both perigee and apogee maneuvers, obviating two separate stages. Attention is presently given to the design features and comparative performance of the LPM, which is believed to be the most cost-effective propulsion system in its class.
